Good morning!!! Here are some updates from the Water Department.
1) Effective November 1, 2023 there will be a change in rates....
The base fee will stay the same $30 for water and $55 for the sewer. However everyone's first 2,000 gallons will be included in the base. So that means if you use 2,000 gallons or less your water bill will only be $85.
2,000-5,000 gallons will be $8.40 per thousand gallons (that's what it is now)
5,000-10,000 gallons the fee will go up .60 to $9.00 per thousand gallons
10,000 gallons or over the fee will go up .90 to $9.90 per thousand gallons.
This new rate structure is the same as all the other local water departments surrounding us. This will also help out some people in this community.
2) SEWER SEWER SEWER- please keep in mind that grease, flushable wipes, feminine hygiene products should not be going into your sewer line. The only thing that should be going down your toilet is toilet paper. Nothing but liquids and food should be going down the drains. We have had an increase in people stopping up the sewer lines because of things they are putting down there.

Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Bell County WCID #2 is issuing a Stage 2 Water Restricion plan: This is Mandatory
Citizens are required to participate in water conservation measures outlined below:
- Voluntarily limit irrigation of landscaped areas to 2 days per week
- Water only between the hours of midnight to 10 a.m. in the morning, and between 8 p.m. to midnight on designated watering days
- For residents with a street address ending in an evennumber (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8), these voluntary watering days are Sundays and Thursdays
- For residents with a street address ending in an oddnumber (1, 3, 5, 7, or 9), these voluntary watering days are Saturdays and Wednesdays
- - Limited Irrigation of Landscaped Areas
- - Limited Irrigation of Public Landscaped Areas by the City
- - Limited Fill Days for Swimming Pools and Jacuzzi-Type Pools
- - Limited Use of Ornamental Fountains and Ponds
- - Limited Water Service in Restaurants
- - Limited Non-Essential Water Uses
- Do not wash down hard-surfaced areas (driveways, tennis courts, etc.), flush gutters, use water for dust control, or wash down buildings, except for fire protection
